Volunteering at The Lights of Christmas

The Lights of Christmas volunteer sign-up is now open! Volunteers are the face of the event and the reason The Lights of Christmas can happen each year! By providing hospitality and spreading Christmas cheer to guests in the form of a warm smile, a wave, clear directions and so much more, volunteers are essential for the production of a successful event.

For the last 25 years, volunteers have worked hard to build and strengthen the community, by providing an affordable holiday activity that allows people to gather and encounter the Christmas story and Christ-centered hospitality.

In addition, volunteers take part in the lifelong memories made during the event. Tori Raiguel, Volunteer Coordinator for The Lights of Christmas, shared one of her favorite memories saying, “The first year of the drive-thru event we were surprised to see limos come through. One brought a bachelorette party. Another carried a family celebrating Grandma’s birthday. We soon learned that the local limo companies were offering trips to The Lights of Christmas. Now we see limos and minibuses nearly every night of the event.” The event truly helps community members connect with each other.

From overnight security, traffic control, and costume characters, there are so many opportunities to volunteer! This year, there is a new volunteer management system, so all old and new volunteers need to create an account by clicking here. It takes about two minutes and is very easy.
