The Lights of Christmas, Award-winning Christmas Festival

Fans rejoice every Thanksgiving knowing the Northwest’s largest Christmas festival opens in one week. On average the past four years, 66,000 patrons annually experience the enchantment of over one million lights in dazzling displays, live entertainment, food, gifts, children’s activities and more.

Over the last 19 years, The Lights of Christmas has become a must-see event in the Seattle area. The festival was designated one of North America’s Top 100 Events & Festivals in North America for 2016 by the American Bus Association (ABA). This award was also granted in 2010, 2011, and 2012. The Lights of Christmas was also listed as the best place to see Christmas lights in Washington State in 2015 by Travel + Leisure Magazine and as one of the 10 Best American Beach Towns for Christmas in 2015 by Coastal Living Magazine.

There is something special about The Lights of Christmas festival! More than lights, or shopping with lights around, The Lights of Christmas immerses guests into a range of experiences for young and old alike to share and treasure through the years.

Creative light displays and animated scenes set the stage for this holiday wonderland. Live music and theatre across five stages bring enjoyment to young and old. Gift shops carry special hand-crafted items from local artisans. Food, including our acclaimed hot, fresh DONUTS, offer a wide range of options for anyone’s tastes. There are hands-on activities such as pony rides, petting farm, light maze, train ride, make your own toy or ornament, and, of course, Santa Claus.
