The Lights of Christmas is fun for kids but it’s also a blast for adults. There are a ton of great activities you can do at The Lights of Christmas Festival to make the holidays just a little brighter. Here are some favorites:
- The Lights!
There are over one million lights displayed throughout the event. Take a stroll and enjoy the beautiful displays. Let the beauty bring wonder to your heart. - Shopping!
See what creative and unique items local artisans have crafted. Who knows, you may find the perfect gift for that one family member that’s super hard to shop for. - Buy a tasty treat or meal.
There are many food and snack choices at The Lights of Christmas! Even a vegan option at Joyland Café. Also, espresso drinks, and remember the hot fresh mini-donuts! Check out our Food & Snack list. - Live Entertainment
Throughout the Festival there are five performance areas. Come and listen to talented local musicians and storytellers. Let the music and stories lift your soul. See the performance schedule for details. - Make a decoration.
Do you like crafts? If so, decorate a wooden ornament at the Elfland Toy Shop. Or, decorate a glass ornament at the Joyland Ornament Shop. (small extra fee) You can hang it on your Christmas tree for years to come. - Theatre at The Lights of Christmas (separate ticketed event)
Are you looking for a special Christmas experience? Then Dinner Theatre or Sunday Dessert Matinee is for you! This year’s show is a comedy called, A Christmas Story…More or Less, written by Stefano Loverso and Mary Irey who are best known for their work on Saturday Night Live and Ryan’s Hope. Come, eat delicious food and relax as you enjoy a delightful holiday production. - Romantic Overnight Getaway (additional cost)
Need quality time with your partner or friend in a Christmas wonderland? The Lights of Christmas is the perfect place! There are lodging options for almost every budget. The overnight packages include Festival admission, a hot breakfast, and a fun gift!
The Lights of Christmas opens November 29th at 5:00pm, and runs 21 nights through December 29, 2018. We hope to see you!
