10 fun activities to do with your kids at The Lights of Christmas

Can you believe it’s November already? If you are anything like me, you are frantically getting ready for Thanksgiving and planning the perfect Christmas gifts for the kids!

Like most moms, I’m a planner. I plan what activities my daughter will do before I go to work. I plan what healthy meals my family will eat and prep so they’ll actually eat them. I definitely plan out every holiday activity.

For all those moms who want to plan a great experience at The Lights of Christmas, here’s a list of my top ten activities you can do with your kids!

10 fun activites to do with your kids at The Lights of Christmas

  1. The Lights
First, and foremost, you have to see the beautiful light displays and watch the wonder on your kids’ faces. I mean there are over one million lights creating stunning scenes you and your kids will love to look at.
  2. Pony Rides & Petting Farm
Does your kid love animals? We have pony rides available for the youngsters age 6 and under, and the petting farm available to everyone.
  3. Elfland Toy Shop & Joyland Ornament Shop
Is your kid more the creative type? Well, we have toys and Christmas ornaments you and your kids can decorate. (small extra fee)
  4. Delicious Food & Live Entertainment
Come taste our famous fresh hot mini donuts or check out the many vendors at the event. Grab a meal or snack and watch live entertainment including music performers, dancers, storytellers and more! See our Food & Snacks list and Performance schedule
  5. Santa!
Santa will be at The Lights of Christmas until December 23rd. Then he has to get back to the North Pole. Visit him at the Joyland area.
  6. Warm Beach Express Train Ride
Come ride the train around part of the festival for a magical experience! Everyone is welcome aboard.
  7. Light Maze
The light maze provides an excellent opportunity for the whole family to work together to get to the end of the maze.
  8. Face Painting
Who doesn’t want to be transformed into a butterfly, a lion, or even a kitten? Our face painters are the best!
  9. Bruce the Spruce the Talking Christmas Tree
Everyone loves Bruce the Spruce! He loves to talk with people of all ages and is sure to make your child smile with his funny jokes.
  10. Storyteller
Does your child love a good story? I know I do! Every hour from 6-9pm in Deer Mountain Lodge, you and your child have the opportunity to listen to a captivating story (story lasts about 20 minutes).

Come out and join the fun this year at The Lights of Christmas Festival. There is so much to do, see, and taste! You and your kids are sure to make memories to last a lifetime!
